One small change can uncover jobs you've been missing.

One of the easiest ways to make your job search harder than it needs to be?

Searching for the same job title over and over again.

Let's say you're looking for Product Marketing Manager roles.

You go to LinkedIn. Type in “Product Marketing Manager.” Scroll through the results. Maybe set an alert.

Done, right?

Not quite.

Companies are wildly inconsistent about what they call jobs.

The work you're looking for might show up under Product Marketing Manager at one company, GTM Manager at another, Product Marketing Lead somewhere else, and something completely different at company #4.

And if you're only searching for ONE title, you could miss good opportunities.

Try this today:

Pull up 5–10 job descriptions that look like the kind of work you want to do.

Don't worry about applying yet.

Look at the actual responsibilities and ask:

What other job titles are companies using for this same kind of work?

Start making a list.

Then search each of those titles separately and see what happens.

You may find that one title gives you a pile of irrelevant garbage while another gives you exactly the kind of jobs you've been trying to find.

This is also why I don't want you spending your entire job search scrolling whatever LinkedIn happens to put in front of you.

You need a search strategy.
